You need something, let's find it!
Locate print or electronic books, journals and magazines (in print or online), CDs or DVDs, newspapers, videos, websites, and other multimedia resources at the Franklin University Library.
Searching for articles to explore a research question or thesis? You can use the OneSearch articles & more search box on our home page to find what you're looking for. If you have the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or citation information from a reference list or other source, you can use it to locate a full-text version of the article.
Looking for a specific journal title but don't know which database to select? Use the Journal Finder to search full text databases for specific journal titles.
Course Reserves consist primarily of books owned by the Franklin University Library that are assigned as required or supplemental readings for Franklin courses, and/or Faculty members' personal copies of materials for their courses.
Databases will assist you in locating needed information to successfully complete your research and assignments. The information is organized in a manner for easy access as follows:
- By Name - A comprehensive, alphabetical list of the databases available to Franklin University users through the library.
- By Major/Course - A listing of databases related to your particular major or course you are taking and provides relevant database recommendations based on the Franklin curriculum.
- By Type - If you need a specific type of material, such as an eBook, a newspaper, or a dissertation, look here for a categorized list of databases.
- Top 10 - These are your favorite databases based on usage statistics.
If we do not have what you are looking for, see if it is available through one of our fellow members in the OhioLINK consortium. It may also be an open access title accessible online or something we can request via Interlibrary Loan.
Found what you were looking for? Brag about it here — it's likely your success will help others, too!
If the material you need is not available it may be due to technical difficulties or can be solved by checking other collections, or recommending a title for purchase. Here's help to that end.
The library, when able, will make available copies of required textbooks through our Course Reserves. If not available, please check the OhioLINK catalog to see if an OhioLINK library has a copy to borrow. If a copy is not available for borrowing, please confer with the university bookstore or consider an online textbook reseller.
