When you have a question about finding specific information, or how to use library services and resources but you can’t come into the library for assistance, you can contact a Reference Librarian via the library’s chat (instant messaging) service. During regular hours, you can interact with a professionally-trained Reference Librarian who will provide an answer or refer you to scholarly and peer-reviewed sources.
The librarian will conduct a real time interview with you to help you clarify and determine your specific information need. For better service, please include your course name/number and use your myFranklin email address.
Click the link above to access chat. It doesn’t matter where you are.
If you have a question during hours that the library is closed, you can use the KnowItNow service:
KnowItNow is a service of libraries throughout the state. The service provides students with live help from a librarian for finding resources for homework or research on any topic. It is available during the hours our library is closed.
