Hours & Holidays
Welcome to Franklin University Nationwide Library (FUNL). Library staff are available by chat, phone, and face-to-face during all open hours and can assist and instruct you in the use of research databases and online catalogs, direct you to facts and statistics, help you select and evaluate print and online reference tools, and complete your library loan requests.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Franklin University, including Nationwide Library, will be closed on Monday, January 19, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Monday classes will be made up on Friday, January 23, and the library will be open until 10:00 pm on that day.
Hours of Operation
Library staff and services are available during our normal hours (Eastern Standard-EST or Eastern Daylight Savings-EDT time) of:

|Friday||8 am - 5 pm|
|Saturday||8 am - 4 pm|
|Sunday||1 pm - 5 pm|

In addition, at the library you can eat and drink while browsing popular magazines, journals or books! You may borrow equipment such as headphones, a TV/DVD cart, or book one of our twelve student meeting rooms for yourself or your study group.
If a holiday falls on a normally-scheduled day of classes, the University will post make-up hours.
The University will be closed to observe the following holidays:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day (observed the day after Thanksgiving)
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- New Year’s Day
The Franklin University academic calendar is divided into three, 15-week trimesters: fall, winter, and summer.
